True Aggie

Anyone who knows Kyle knows that he is a TRUE Aggie through and through. So it's only natural that his daughter would becomed one to. Kyle bought this hat for her while I was still pregnant and couldn't wait to put it on her. We tried once right after she was born but it looked ridiculous because it covered her entire body, now it still looks silly, but you can at least see there is a baby under there...well kind of.
Is that an Aggie or an Avery??

Kyle said he won't pay for her to go to college unless she goes to Utah State, after all that is where her mom and dad met and her grandpa and grandma Jones. And you thought that's what BYU was for. Avery doesn't realize yet that she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger and she can have whatever she wants. She is gonna be one spoiled little girl, oh wait she already is!! (Look at those dimples, aren't they the cutest!!)

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was really uneventful. We normally go to McCall for the Memorial day weekend and put the boat in the lake and if we're feeling brave go water skiing. (I am so excited to water ski this year because I was pregnant last summer and couldn't do many water sports.) But because there was so much snow in the mountains this winter, it is still freezing in McCall and even a little snow still left on the ground. So needless to say we decided to wait and go up when it gets a little warmer. It really doesn't get that warm up there though, I think the lake gets to maybe 75 degrees at it's warmest in July and August (thank goodness for wet suits). We did however go to Lucky Peak and see the "Rooster tail". Because we got so much snow this winter in the valley there was all this extra water at the dam they didn't need to generate power, so it needed to be let out and I guess when it shoots out it is suppose to look like a rooster tail. I don't see the rooster tail, but it was fun to go see and take some pictures. I had never been to Lucky Peak before and Kyle was dieing to take me there. The view was beautiful and Kyle was happy because he loves to go for drives.

We also put together Avery's exersaucer she got from the Castagneto family at my baby shower here in Boise. She is still pretty small for it, but she can hold her head up now and I thought she might enjoy it. I was WRONG, she was not having it. But it was fun to see her in it and see how big she is getting. I can't believe how fast she is growing it makes me sad because she's no little newborn anymore, but she is also at a really fun stage because she is smiling, cooing, and giggling and is still inmobile so I don't have to chase her everywhere yet. My baby is growing up!!

Avery + Kian = True Love Always, at least until there 2

Last week Avery and I spent a few days in Utah. My dad had to go to Oklahoma for work and my mom didn't want to be home alone (I don't blame her, I don't like it when Kyle has to go to Washington for work either and I'm home alone) so I went and stayed with her for a few days. I didn't get to visit many people when we were there because the trip was so short, but Avery did get to see her future boyfriend again. Kian is my best friend Chantals son. I think I mentioned this before, but Kian and Avery were born on the same day, February 27, 2008, but Kian was 5 weeks early and Avery was 3 days late. That is why there is such a huge difference in their size. Avery is at least 3 pounds heavier than him, but one day he will be bigger then her (at least we hope). It is so fun to see them each time we are there and compare the 2 to each other. They both love to stare at the ceiling fan and kick and squirm and smile at it. It is the funniest thing in the world to think how entertaining a ceiling fan can be, but I'll take it because I just lay her on my bed under the fan in the morning so I can get ready and she loves it.
Avery looks like she is so much older then Kian when they are side by side. I can't believe they are already 12 weeks old. It's crazy how fast time flies!!

Here is a picture of Avery and her dad I thought I would throw in. Kyle had been asking for a hammock for over a year and finally got it for his birthday in February. We waited until the weather got better to put it together and he just had to try it out with Avery. Look at those cheeks on Kyle, Avery was destined to get them. Although Kyle has dimples in both his cheeks and so far Avery doesn't have any. I hope she gets them, but you would probably be able to see them now if she had them when she smiles. I'm still holding out hope though!! I have the cutest little family in the world, I am soooo lucky!!

Avery's Blessing and Mothers Day

Avery was blessed on Saturday May 10, 2008 here in Boise. We decided to do it on a Saturday so my family would all be able to attend and leave at a decent hour on Sunday since our church isn't until 1:00. The blessing went very well (although my parents hit a deer driving here) and Kyle did an amazing job!!! Kyle and I were both in tears as he was giving the blessing. Avery has turned her dad nto a softy!! We have such an amazing daughter and we're happy most of our family members were able to be there to share in this special occassion. Here is Avery and Kyle before the blessing. I am so grateful to have the priesthood in our home and all the blessings it brings to us and our little family. As you can see she was not very happy in that big dress. All she wanted to was fall asleep and that she did FINALLY as you can see in the next picture. But then woke up again as Kyle was picking her up to start the blessing, but as soon as he started giving the blessing she stopped crying. It was amazing, she must know and trust in her fathers voice and it soothed her during the blessing.
Finally asleep, if only for a few moments!!

We had picture time after the blessing. She looked beautiful in her white dress, all clean and pure. It was truly such a special day and it just made me all the more grateful that we have the gospel in our lives and that our family can be together forever.
I love planting flowers, it's my favorite time of spring. So I thought I would take some pictures of the pots I did in front of my house. They turned out really good!! I have to say my 1st mothers day was FABULOUS!! Kyle and Avery gave me an ipod (yes I know I must be the last person on Earth to get one) and Avery gave me the best gift of all, she slept through the night that night. She must have known it was mothers day and that I was worn out from the days activities. She hasn't done it since, but it sure was nice. Hands down best gift ever!!

1st Doctor Appointment, Shots, and her Fist??

Avery has found her fist!! I layed her down in bed the other night sound alseep with her binkie in her mouth and this is how I found her 10 minutes later. I heard this loud sucking coming from her bed and looked in at her and she had her fist in her mouth sucking away. It was cute and so funny. She tries so hard to get her fist to her mouth and when she does she loves it.

More pictures of her and her fist, oh how she loves it.
I LOVE to put bows and flowers in her "hair" as you can tell from all her pictures. Sometimes I'm not so sure she likes it, but the other day she fell asleep with her headband over her eyes like this. She usually will fuss if she gets it like this, but she stayed asleep for quite awhile like this. It was the CUTEST!!

Avery had her very 1st well child exam and 1st round of immunizations yesterday. I was so nervous for the shots because 1st of all I didn't want to hear her scream in pain and 2nd I have heard horror stories of how fussy babies get after they get shots. But her appointment went well and she really only screamed when they jabbed her with the needle and for maybe a minute after and then she was fine. I did make Kyle go with me so he could be the one to hold her down for the shots, but I stayed in the room while they did it and I wasn't sure I would be able to do that, so I'm proud of myself. She now weighs 12 lbs 8 oz. which is the 90th percentile for her age and 22 inches long which is the 25th percentile and her head is in the 75th percentile. So she is short, chubby, and has a big head, but boy do we LOVE her. Chubby babies are the cutest and she probably carriers all her weight in those big cheeks.

Picture Time

I took Avery to get her pictures done at Kiddie Kandids while I was in Utah. They turned out so cute as you can tell. She smiled so good for the camera and was happy most of the time she was being posed and proded.
These pictures are of Avery in her cute Easter dress. You can't tell very well from her Easter pictures just how cute her Easter dress really is.

I had to do a naked picture. At this age it is soooo cute. I can use it as blackmail one day and threaten to show a boyfriend or something. This was the very last picture of the sitting and she had had it by then. All she wanted to do was suck on her arm and the lady would not let her, so we were lucky we got such a cute picture. I think Kyle and I make cute babies, but I may have a little bias.
